At night the dash does not light up, until the dipped beam is turned on, it is lit during daylightI think, but at night all I can see is the needles.

I have tried the settings on the radio and all i can find is a dimmer, and thats set to high, tried lowering it to no avail, any ideas.

It's meant to be like that. It's to remind you to turn the lights on.

Its also like that so you can leave the car on parking lights with minimum drain of the battery. Only 4 bulbs energised afaik.I believe the registration plate illumination does not function either.

I used parking lights on a busyish urban main road for 3 hours plus once every week with no problems.
