Any one had there entire dashboard taken out by a dealer, mine is going in on Monday for warranty work and I have been advised that the whole dash has to come out. Worried it won't go back properly and will rattle like hell.

If its like the MK2 its just a cover, I had mine out to change the A/C unit, and that don't rattle or squeak, also had Fabia dashes out for warranty work and they were ok.

They replaced my whole dash after my accident and it actually rattles less than prior to the accident.

Having to get the air recirculation flap replaced 

Sounds like the Fabias, you have to get the dash out to replace the evap temp sensor, 4 hours to remove dash 10 mins to change sensor and another 4 hours putting it all back again, road test and hopefully no rattles etc.

Both my mk2. Octys had to have dash removal and I had exactly same concerns but there were no adverse after effects.

Whats the symptoms of the damaged recirculation flap.

 

It's not closing properly so just going back and forth quite loudly 

Update: Aircon compressor replaced everything fine, no rattles.
