SOLD - Octavia Mk1 OE Xenon Light Conversion

Featured Replies

Here is a complete OE Xenon light set-up as removed from a 2004 Skoda Octavia mk1 (1U) Laurin & Klement.

To cut a long story short I've recently converted my mk1 Octavia 4x4 to OE Xenons and in the process of doing so I acquired two mk1 Octavia L&K's to use for parts. Both were in cosmetically poor condition and these lights came from one of those cars.

This set comes complete with everything you will need to make a start on converting your Mk1 Octavia to OE Xenons, including:

• N/S Headlight unit complete

• O/S Headlight unit complete

• Plugs for both headlights with plenty of loom to connect to

• Illumination rheostat switch with wiring loom (green illumination)

• Level sensors front and rear with plugs and looms to connect to

• Various brackets, arms and wiring brackets for the level sensors and wiring.

Prior to removing the lights from the car I scanned them with VCDS and found them fault code clear, they also both moved up and down freely with a function check as they should.  They come with decent D2S bulbs and all the mounting tabs are intact.  However, don't buy these with the expectation of fitting them in afternoon - it's quite an involved job and will require wiring/soldering skills and plenty of time/patience to get it all working (as I found when I did it).

Also, the brackets and level senders have all seen better days so I would recommend replacing at least the level senders in order to ensure they work properly.  (Although I have read that it's possible to wire the lights so they will adjust for height using the adjuster from within the car).  All of the brackets and adjuster arms are still available new from VW or you could have the originals blasted and powdercoated if you wanted.   Please note that these brackets are for a 2wd Octavia as the 4x4 Octavia mounts in a different place at the rear of the car (again, as I found out).

In addition to all of the above I will also include copies of all of the relevant wiring diagrams that I used including some additional assistance in terms of a list that I put together of which wire does what on the OE Xenon loom and OE Halogen loom.  In reality there are only about 8 additional wires to connect up to get the Xenons working so if you know what you're doing it's not a difficult job, just time consuming.

These are advertised elsewhere so subject to removal at any time.
