fabia 3 rear lights

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm new here,

I have just bought a 2015 fabia 1.4tdi and have been checking it out. Has anyone changed a rear light bulb or removed the rear light cluster? I have tried to do this as instructed in the hand book i.e. remove the 2 torx screws and pull the unit away from the car, Once the screws are removed I am unable to remove the unit from the car  it is difficult to grip the unit and no matter how hard I grip and pull the unit it does not come away.

Any help with this would be appreciated, regards

Major pain

Depending on which side you have to lift with the tool in the tool kit (wheel trim puller)

Or pull down

Becarful the paint on the rear quarter panel at the back of the light is very thin

Once you start to pull use you spare hand to to tease it out

I think the first time I slid a microfiber down the back between the lamp and the panel to Stop the paint being damaged

Fabrio mentioned these plastic tools on another thread on here ... and I got a set - they make the job easy peasy.

The snap-on/off pins that hold the side of the lamp unit, are really tight. And these "Voche" plastic tools are great to have for other trim work as well.

Hi again,

I rooted around my garage and found a piece of plastic trunking that when cut down worked perfectly for prising the light unit from it's retaining lugs.

Thanks all for the replies
