After doing a bit of research on this forum to make sure I was getting the right item,  I bought this Connects2 adaptor for my pre-PL Stream MP3 (I also have a aux in the jumbo box)

However the farthest I could get it to work was a blue light on the adapter box and a faint garbled voice playing a recording I can't make out. No bluetooth showed up on my phone and the aux in on the connects2 box did not work. Also no power comes through the usb port on the connects2 box.

 

As there were no clear instructions in the package I contacted the seller for help but instead they’re now saying I bought the wrong item as they say the Stream Mp3 has “an internal CD changer” and I lack the external CD changer pins.  From reading this forum and trying to put in more than one CD, I’m sure they’re wrong about this. Also my HU label has pins marked for cd changer. (I think he’s trying to get out of a refund.)

 

So I’d just like to ask you lads if I’m right in saying back to this seller that the Strem Mp3 doesn’t have an “internal CD changer”.  Or if anyone has managed to get one of these working, maybe I’m making a wrong move somewhere.

 

Here’s what I did to get as far as the garbled voice stage.
The white and black connectors plug into the bottom left and bottom right sockets. (I take out the blue connector from the bottom left socket.) I push them in until the little locking tab locks into position but maybe I should be pushing them in further? I'm nervous about forcing things) I connect the ground wire to a screw on the head unit. I haven't connected the three red connectors to anything.

 

Should I intend contact Connects2 directly?

I got sorted.

 

I contacted Connects2 directly and they sent me this image and everything works. (the black connector wasn't needed and the two of the red wires were supposed to be together and they weren't out of the box)

 

I've attached the image here for fear anyone searches this forum in the future with this problem.

 

(The adaptor works perfect, bluetooth is seamless and it even has a power supply for usb)

hey, I put it in the top cubby. I drilled a hole in the back of it to feed the wire through.
