Finally after 6 years of getting it together, I started my engine swap into my skoda pickup. PD130 out of a fabia vrs. 

Job number 1. try and get it to fit in.

Well, a VR6 can go in there, and a 1.9D is a smaller engine.

I have been seeing a sweet caddy at santapod over the last few year with a vr6 and 4 motion. It looks fantastic, the guy did a great job and it runs 12s 1/4 miles. Thought about it but I like derv. I think they are going to get cheaper as fall from favour. If I can make it work awd comes in a later phase.

Oh work on an old rapid aswell.

No it does not. Need to loose heating and breaks.

I think it fits now. try again this week end. Need to line up gearbox with wheel bearings.

ok so the red rapid has its engine back in. not plumed yet.

 

The engine in the pick up positioned and making engine mounts. Slow going.
