Fabia MKii Bonnet Cover Strip - MP8-506 Tool?

Hey all...

Long story short, I want to remove the cover strip on the bonnet of a Fabia vRS MKii, and be able to put the same one back on again without breaking anything. The part I'm talking about the the trim on the leading edge of the bonnet, that has the Skode badge on it. It's labelled as 11 at the link below. The workshop manual mentions a tool - MP8-506 for removing the clips. If I want to remove and then put it back on later, do I need this tool? Or can I get the part off somehow without it, while not breaking anything to make sure it will go on again?

I saw there's some other posts about taking the grille off etc, but the photos are all old, and no-one mentioned this tool. Just want to check before I attempt it with pliers, or flat head screwdriver or something.
