Hello from South Yorkshire

Hello all,

I'm loving my new vRS estate. It's been an interesting start, I've had it since the 1st August and already someone on the estate behind me had a fire and all the ash melted into the wax so I had to spend all of the last BH weekend cutting, polishing and re waxing it.. It looks great when it's done though. I have big issues with the bluetooth connection on my stereo as it drop connection or just seems to be oblivious when the phone rings and the stereo does nothing!?!?! I've just spoken to Skoda's online chat to ask if I could get the latest software from somewhere. I just got "take it to a dealer" so I'll not be using that again. All in all though I thinks it's far better than the 2014 VW Passat I had.

Hello rcottam welcome to the forum good to have you with us:)

When the moisture in The air mixes with the ash it turns to acid and etches the paint not good.

Thankfully the ash had only melted into the top level of wax. Cut, polish and re-wax 8 hrs later it was back shiny.
