VRS Rear Caliper Return Spring...

Featured Replies

My calipers or cables always end up not returning after a while, when applying the handbrake.

All stripped down and seem fine, now I'm sure I've seen somewhere that people have fitted a return spring on the calipers to assist with the return of the arm that initiates the handbrake...

Am I right in thinking that, and if so, what shall I use?

Thanks

Edit:- I've forgotten which platform "7MO" is, but I got my local VW to order them in for my wife's 2015 Polo.  ( 7M was VW Sharan and SEAT Alhambra) and Ford Galaxy!

Corrected and added text.

this is a '7H0' think its the same thing I have a second set of 4 calipers ready for repainting and noticed the springs was highly corroded and a little bit 'stretched' http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/genuine-rear-brake-caliper-return-springs-7h0-615-296.html. or it could be the 7K0 cant find the 7MO, hopefully this link on ebay does mention the golf and suitable for Skoda https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-VW-Seat-Golf-MK5-Skoda-Parking-Brake-Arm-Spring-Left-Right-Set-2000-OEM-/262358747430

Watch out that you don't pay these prices as a VW and/or a SEAT dealer, or TPS will charge a lot less than that,  the 7M0 versions were about £3.00 each in August 2015.

I always use TPS as I used to work there ;)
