2013 yeti Headlamp replacement

Featured Replies

Hi

We have a 2013 Yeti Urban 2.0 TDI 140HP DSG 4 x 4.Great machine but a few months back the drivers side head light was cracked pretty badly.

And will need to be replaced before a upcoming vehicle  test takes place

Can buy a headlight assembly online and hoping to do this myself but also hoping to see if anyone has done this before or if any guide available as may be a award sort of job

Thanks in advance

Regards

Dan

Dont forget the beam alignment has to be set afterwards. That supposedly needs the garage tool as used in the mot.

Assuming the existing light still works park near a wall abput 10m from front of the car and mark the centre of the beam on dip horizontally and vertically and then change the light unit adjusting it to meet the mark the same as before.

Removing and replacing the unit should be fairly obvious if you inspect the fixings on the replacement.

Thats some great advice, its something like that that folks could easily miss regarding the alignment . .thanks again, much appriciated

Forgot that it may well have dipping adjustment in the car as well. this needs to be set to the off position before setting up to change the light unit

If it's a pre face lift the fog light is part of the headlight meaning the bumper needs to be moved aswell.
