I have a 2013 Cambelt interval for 2013 5E 1.6 TDI CR SE, am I right in thinking that the cambelt interval is 100k miles? What about age of belt... is that still a factor?

Plenty of threads on here about the cambelt changes of various engines on this site. I would say that at a 100,000 miles that is due a belt and water pump change. I always get the camshaft belt changed at 50,000 miles or 4 years. The dealers say similar intervals yet the service books state up to 140,000! If I were you I'd change it.

My car has only done 36k so I'll give it another 12 months then have it done.
