Can VAG-COM read fault codes from a TVR Tuscan S ?

Featured Replies

Can VAG-COM read fault codes from other OBD-II cars? I know someone with a misfiring TVR Tuscan S which, has an OBD-II style connector similar to the VAG plug.

i am adding to this thread to try to find something similair..

.. i have a chinese usb vagcom compatible cable - and am after the software that allows OBD on other non-vw cars.

using the vagcom shareware 409 on the cable is fine - and it "sees" other obd should work - but here is the hitch - mr pepers program seems not to like usb - or so i think.

anyone using a usb 409 cable on other obd software out there ????

adding to this - the latest VAGCOM doesn't like the non rosstech cables - unless a fix is out there in cyberland for this already..?

if it did communicate with std cables it would be GREAT !

I know the fairly cheap and readly available ELM interfaces are fine for almost all ODBII equiped cars.

There are one or two standards so you would need to be sure that the TVR is OBDII and not using the Ford or GM variants.

so noone out there uses 409 with a usb cable for other obd diagnostic then??

... shame, looks like another cable will need to be added to the collection.
