What's the best 'extras' to activate on VCDS - '07 L&K

Featured Replies

I bought my first Skoda; 07 Octavia L&K estate 2.0 pd diesel in January this year. I've had a few niggles recently with it, although (touch wood) nothing major. Fortunately, the garage I've put it into can do a VCDS scan and so far I've opted for the usual cornering fogs and also asked for the anti hijack door locking to be enabled.

Are there any any other features that would be worth unlocking, too? Aside from the above, I'm completely in the dark over what else would be useful. I have the maxidot and the car has coming home etc enabled.

i know this has been vaguely covered before, although the last thread went off on a tangent from what I found.

Get some footwell lights fitted and get that activated. £20 on ebay, not too hard to fit.

Cheers - Is there a tutorial on here?

Presume it has the electric memory seat? Pop into the module for the seat controller, look at the adaptations and choose the option for "easy entry" or similar. This moves the seat back and forward on entry and exit to give more room getting in and out. The seat always returns to selected saved position.  It's a winner and gives me a regular smile - others in the car notice it too...

Yeah, drivers elec memory seat. That sounds decent, Adamal. I'll talk it through with the mechanic.  Assume it moves the seat when you turn the ignition on/off? Thanks.

It is either that or when you open interior door handle to leave car it goes back and then goes forward when you put key back in to restart.

I thought "easy entry" feature comes with memory seats. Aren't the seat adjust motors and seat control module of memory seats different from normal electric seats?

I suspect you are right but I am indeed referring to the memory electric seat, which the mk2 L & K has on the driver side.

Apart from the easy entry on the seats, is there nothing else that can be easily enabled?
