Is service by a Seat dealer OK?

As the title suggests, if a seat dealer has a special deal on servicing would anyone take their furby vrs there?

Mine gets done at an independent VW/Audi specialist now my local dealership's closed, and that's fine for the warranty because they use genuine parts (like Goochie said). So you'll be absolutely fine with a Seat dealer - after all, your Fabia vRS is mechanically identical an Ibiza FR diesel...

I'd go for it for sure, it's all VAG group so parts-bin should be the same and they should have access to the right info to service things properly.

Also in Newbury they're on the same street - may have to give them a buzz LOL

Just so you realise, you will invalidate the 3rd year/60k mile dealer warranty by servicng outside the Skoda network. The 2yr manufacturers warranty would be unaffected, provided they use genuine parts.

Not true, as I understand it. If you come across a dealer who won't honour your warranty for the full 3 years / 60,000 miles, you can take legal action under Article 81 of the EC Treaty.

Yes looks like I maybe wrong. Skoda now only recommend you service your car with them, to ensure your warranty is unaffected. I would however make sure you get a detailed invoice noting that original components were used just in case.

Both right AFAIK... The law as it is now gives you the right to shop around, and just as long as wherever you end up taking your car does the service according to the schedule and with the correct parts, you're fully protected by your warranty.
