Hi all - very new to the forum - hello everyone!

 

Vehicle is a 2007 Skoda Scout.

 

- Ive got a weird starting issue - its intermittent but happens regularly. The engine won't start unless you very gently knock the gearstick (manual 6 speed).

 

Fault reader doesn't come up with any codes.

 

Weird!

 

Any ideas?

In what way doesn't it start (just turns over but doesn't fire?), how do you mean 'knock the gear stick'? I have had an intermittent starting issue where it takes ages to turn over but eventually fires up then is perfectly fine and will restart fine all day. Can leave the car weeks an it starts first time then randomly the odd day it just does it. Hasn't done it in a while now randomly, but is annoying and embarrassing when it does it.
