Can anybody shed light on the cause of or, a cure for  this problem:

On two occasions in the recently, I have returned to my car to find all four windows open.

On the first occasion it had been parked in an underground airport carpark for 10 days but, today it was in an open carpark for only an hour.

Which could have been a problem if it rained and a bigger one if stolen.

Problem solved.

Contacted a very helpful Scoda dealer, who told me it was a common problem and talked me through a cure.

On maxidot display :  go to settings-convenience-windows op.

This will bring up 3 options  off, all, or driver. set the setting to off.

The dealer told me that they usually set this to off and, advise the owner of its availability before they release a car.

It doesn't sound like a fix but a workaround for the problem.... and guess it means you no longer have the ability to lower/raise the windows from your remote fob, and does it also disable the 'raise windows when it rains' option? I'm forever using the fob to close windows when the kids leave them open.

You are right it is a workaround but it does prevent my windows from opening by themselves.

It actually disables all actions including folding in wing mirrors other than open or close from the fob.
