Wonder if you could do it by dropping the engine and working in the wheel arch with the liner removed. That's how I did my crank oil seal but obviously the water pump is higher so not sure.

i was half tempted to jam a nice bit of wood between the other few pullys and the strut tower side but didnt wanna risk it. might even buy a budget hoist if needs must, cheap enough and the engines only light
