Double Din stereo replacement

Afternoon folks.

Got my eye on a Pioneer Double Din head unit for my 07 Vrs.

Poped into Halfrauds earlier for a wee play with a few of them, and being a Pioneer man iv found one I want.

So, obviously im needing the facia sarround and mines is the old style so they would need to order in.

Then he starts going on about how id need a mounting cage at a cost of £49.99 as the new unit would be to flimsy!! Iv never played with double dins before but surely the head unit would come with its own mounting cage or is this a Skoda thing??

Any pics or links to help with what I would expect to be a straight forward replacement would be grand.
