58 Plate Superb Elegance DSG Gearbox

Featured Replies

I have a few questions relating to my 58 plate Skoda Superb Elegance. 2.0 TDI DSG

1.) Firstly, when the car is in auto (D), I am able to put it into Manual by "flicking" it to the left. Should I also be able to select a manual option in Sport?

2.) Unfortunately, one of my alloy wheels has been damaged by a pothole beyond repair, (unknown which one of the thousands near me that did this). I have tried the usual destinations (Ebay, Scrap yards, Parts Finder, Gumtree and various other sources) and I cannot find the exact same wheel. Any suggestions? Picture of design attached.

Cheers,

Keiran.

Welcome to the forum.

No. 'S' has it holding gear longer, changing up later, and as you know the stick can not be moved to the left in 'S'.

In 'D'  and moved left to Manual change, You are the one changing gear, so change later if you want,

holding the RPM higher if you want, so you are 'S', when doing manual changing, or just be 'D',

you decide.

DSG are Automated Manuals.

For a Wheel or any Wanted Parts maybe try a Wanted as in BRISKODA Forum.

Thank you for such a warm welcome!

You have cleared a lot of my worries up. I shall pop an ad on for the wheels. Cheers for letting us know what the name of the wheels were; it's been a nightmare!

In manual mode - if you have too high or too low rpm - DSG will protect itself and will shift up or down.
