Back box or Mufflerectomy?

Featured Replies

As title says guys,

im after a bit more noise out the back end but dont want to annoy neighbours when i leave for work at 7am every morning.

Anyone with a mk2 fabia 1.9 tdi running either an aftermarket backbox or back box delete?

"The exhaust system must be free from serious leaks or advanced corrosion.  The entire system must be securely fixed to the vehicle as intended either by using exhaust mounts or the common rubber fitting mounts. The exhaust system must have the required number of silencers for your specific make and model of car. Your vehicle may fail the MOT due to noise levels if deemed to be excessive by the MOT inspector."

A 1.9tdi without a back box would sound naff and very loud.

I just had mine done and back box deleted. The car sounds really nice and it's not very loud at all.

You get a nice "brrrppp" noise from the car when reaching 3000 rpm and you can also hear the turbo whistle bit more.

I really like it and I'm glad I did go for it.

I still have other silencer and cat in my car.

Sned me your number via pm and if you have whatts app I can send you the video.

Thats great, cheers for the reply slotty. Been quoted £100 wih any tail pipe so will go for it.  Will pm you now.

been thinking about this for my 1.6tdi, but not sure if about MOT etc as I dont think I have any secondary silencers. Just a DPF / Cat. But I would prefer a bit meatier sound from my car!
