Hi all,

We've used this forum for years for info, but never actually signed up... Thought it was about time to change that!

Our beloved old 02 plate Octavia tdi recently passed away at the grand old age of 15, having covered around 325,000 miles. We'd had it for over 8 years, having purchased it from a family member for £1200 with 100,000 miles on it. At approximately 0.5p per mile it's fair to say that it's represented good value over it's life.

So, what to replace it with... Erm... Another derv Octavia, on an '02 plate. Obviously... Estate this time though, and 110 rather than 90.

Always wanted a wagon, and have a few mods planned for this one, probably all done before!

Anyhow. "Hello", etc...

Hello CG welcome to the Skoda forum at last .;)

That was good mileage, the Octavia is certainly built for it.  I’m sure you’ll get similar out of the next one.

Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, they certainly are built to last. I think the engine on the old one would probably do the same again.

Plenty of mk1 taxis out there with over half a million miles on them...
