Featured Replies

I am in midst of changing a new door lock module on the left rear door. The old unit having problem.. not locking when others are all locked. Bought a new unit known as vika OE part no. 7L0839015 D...installation completed..however the panel with with window regulator not yet installed. Manually tested using the outer door handle and inner lock cable.. all were OK. I have connected the connector to the lock device and locked all the doors using the remote control. All doors were locked. The next day when I want to open the door ..the rear left door with the new locking module ...it remain locked.. the rest of the doors were OK. Unable to unlocked using the inner cable ..Outer door handle.. central lock button and remote control..the click sound strange "rrrrrrrrrr" when using the remote control or central lock button.

What should I do?

Update... The door only can be opened with several knocks thumping nearby outside door handle while at the same time pulling the outside door handle.  From inside.. it is still couldn't be opened. I have tried several times locked and unlocked using the remote control but It still the same. The clicking sound "rrrrr' not as solid as other doors. Could it be the lock module is faulty? It is a brand new..

Update.. OK.. resolved.. made adjustment to the cable attached to the outside door handle by moving in a few thread of the cable. The cable is probably installed too tight previously. This is my first attempt tackling the replacement of the lock module by myself.
