1st dealer trip

Featured Replies

Well finally got my sportline booked in for warranty work. Premium vehicle and quite costly yet its needing these things checked and rectified already

1. Dsg jerks and is hesitant.

2. Sunroof creaks and rattles more than a 20 year old rover.

3. Stop start is lethal.

4. Rear brake discs surface corrosion. No chance they will make the 1st MOT.

5. Centre console tunnel made with the same plastics as an 1980s AIWA Hifi thus creaks as one.

Disappointing to say the least. Though the car has covered a lot of miles. 6000 of them.

Why spend in excess of £25000 when one can buy a basic citigo and receive similar grief for less than half the money.

Anyway good luck dealer. Pretty sure the dsg issue will be met with a 'cannot replicate same problem sir'.

  1. DSG jerks - yes it does, standard. There are smooth gearboxes available on other makes
  2. Sunroof creaks - it's a feature
  3. Start stop is lethal - agreed, I switch it off every time I get in
  4. Rear brakes - is it just that, surface corrosion? Mine are always look poor
  5. Centre console - again it's a feature of a £30k car

It should be noted that if these are your 5 jobs for the dealer to review under warranty, you can pretty much guarantee they will only look at point 2 and tell you they have sorted it by spraying some WD40 on it! Unfortunately you'll just have to lump the rest.

Lol.

Ironic of a sort. Yet i have become aware of skodas low quality just as you have commented on.

Are you a skoda master tech by any chance?? With those fault diagnosis skills i am certainly convinced you are.
