Call of Duty WWII - Who's in?

Featured Replies

Anyone buying this one like me with high (perhaps too high) hopes, after a string of crap COD's? Will be PS4 here. Pre-Ordered for £45.99 on Amazon 20 min ago :ninja:

This is the first COD I haven't ordered for the very fact you mention, the last few have been atrocious. I got BF1 last year and after a few hours on COD went straight back to BF1 and haven't looked back since. I fear after spending so long on BF1 that COD will seem pants, the maps are bound to be all tiny, I'd be aiming above heads for bullet drop and I'd miss the destruction on maps. The recent update have focused on micro destruction which is unbelievable, the fact a frozen puddle will break when walked on, and even sound like it is what the sort of thing COD can't come close to.

I am a massive Battlefield fan and have been there since long before it made it onto consoles, I like BF1, but I did enjoy a few of the COD versions too like Modern Warfare 2 and COD2 (other WWII one). Totally different games in regard to gameplay really are their own things. BFBC2 is my favorite Battlefield by far and I still play it :D

I agree with all of that. BC2 is the best BF hands down. MW2 is my favourite COD and  COD2 was great, I also liked COD4, the original but the remastered version doesn't do it any justice IMO.

I wish I had the time to play more, all of this talking about it makes me want to put in a serious session this weekend, unfortunately I have an exam to study for.:crying:

I’m much more tempted by this than I was the last few. Will see how I get on with Battlefront 2 first.

I am off this weekend, I'll get a few frags for you :P Do you still have and or play BFBC2? I love the Vietnam DLC they did for it, still find the odd group in there playing in hardcore mode from time to time.

I got the last or 2nd last one free with my PS4 when I bought it (not by choice) and I didn't even open the game for about 6 months as I had no interest. When I did give it a shot one day after a massive update installed, I lasted about 30 minutes and never put it in again. Folk running along walls etc.... Seemed more of a Starship Troopers sort of theme to it all. WWII is a good background for such games, BF1 was an odd one going for WWI which has historically been pretty poor for FPS's, but it's been good. I hope the next Battlefield is a proper Vietnam set one though :o

As a long time Call of Duty fan who has bought every new edition every year I will not be buying this year.

The whole model of Micro transactions is disgusting and the games are no longer what they used to be.

With games like Fortnite available for free whats the point of paying £45 plus DLC costs and the micro transactions if you choose to pay for them.

This year they are not having a penny of my cash.

Not played any Cod since black ops 2

Nothing to see this year that will fhamgey mind

Battlefield 1 and star wars battlefield 2 for me

Ha ha thanks. Yes I have it, but on the PS3 and I don't use it anymore. I did read there are a group of hardcore players on a server on the Shanghai map on BF4 too. I might get the PS3 back out to give them a go at some point.

Don't get my started! I only have bought in 3 years.... This is my 3rd game, didn't know when I got the PS4 that we now have to pay subscription like Xbox does, so I refused to pay for it until BF1 :D All the DLC side of things to the games is crap and Battlefield has leaped onto that bandwagon too. Sadly it seems like this is just how it's going to be now. Personally I just stick with the original standard edition of game and don't pay for packs etc as they come out.

I have the PS3-slim and PS4-fat sat side by side on the desk here. Still like BFBC2 more than any other game and that's the only reason :D Have an OLD PS3-fat in bedroom as more of a media center.

I’ve still not finished COD4

  • 1 year later...

I'm playing call of duty:black ops zombies apknite. It doubtless claimed countless hours of my life when it was first released
