Skoda-kit-for-spare-wheel-change

I’m in the same boat as you. I’m looking At getting a space saver spare.

your Octavia will take a full sized wheel or a plain vw steel wheel will do, any PCD 112x5 should do just fit the correct profile tyre if its a 15" fit an 75 or 80. the foam kit (fits inside the spare wheel, with which comes with the fixing bracket can be bought for £40 from any skoda dealer. space savers are a rip off and you can buy a 2nd hand steel from a breaker for peanuts, usually with a good tyre fitted.

I bought a full size alloy and new tyre which is about 10mm too tall in the wheel well. Even with the correct 225 tyre, you wouldn't notice the floor sits up at all.

for the OP, the kit will not fit with most alloys as its designed to fit a steel or a space saver steel. I just trimmed the excess foam off so it fitted perfectly into my 18" gemini. i had to trim the four protruding corners and also the bottom center.
