Bluetooth for my skoda octavia

Featured Replies

I have just bought a 2012 octavia with a parrot Bluetooth the problem I am having when I switch the engine on my parrot does not come on and I have just noticed today that the light on the headliners does not come on

it should have a trigger wire that is wired to a switched live.

you should check the wiring

Will that be inside the engine bay or will that wire be inside the car going to fuse box

The parrot will have a loom that is plugged into the back of the radio, the trigger wire will come of that loom

I am going to have a go at doing it I just need to go down to Halford and see if they have the plastic tool that you use to remove the trim in front of the radio first time for me wish me luck I will update you if it works or I need more help thanks

You should be fine, the stereo is quite easy to remove. If you take the top box out too, makes it easier to get the radio back in as you will no doubt have lots of wires to hide

I need some screw driver or something to remove the radio and I dont have one and I dont know the can you tell which one I need I am going to Halford now to buy one

I know they are star ones, but cannot recall the size. Best thing to do is buy a little screwdriver pack with stars, hex, flat and phillips. I have one I got from ebay and it is brilliant, use it all the time.

what a complete ballache.

It is an easy job. I ran the mic up the drivers a pillar by remove it and wedging it in at the top. I did try the oem place which is near the lights in the headlining, but people I called complained of wind noise and I couldn't sort the sound deadening to stuck with the on view a pillar look
