Hello, 

 

I am looking at cars for a family friend and they said they liked the fabia but only have a budget of 3k so while I was looking around I found this. I am more up to date on the newer engines skoda do but not so much the older ones. 

 

They do both city and motorway driving and want something reliable (not always easy) 

 

What is the Skoda 1.6 16v 105 engine like? anyone go it?

My only complaint was just how long it took VW to consider putting it in a Polo, I'd expect that apart from being a bit greedy on fuel it would be quite a handy engine to have with a manual gearbox in one of these cars. A bit or enough pace without having "go faster version" really.
