My First Skoda

Featured Replies

Thought id pop in and say hello as one of the probable many who have ordered a 245 on the recent lease deals.  My first skoda after several BMW's, couple of porsches, few nissans and an MX5 :)

Needed something to replace my A4 lease that was coming to an end, an for the money the 245 was a no brainer.

Car doesnt arrive til March, and should be supplemented by an M2 CS shortly after with any luck,

Welcome to Briskoda. Would like to hear about how you purchased your vRS, as I’m thinking of changing mine through PCH. What body, colour etc have you ordered? Seeing some good deals but VAG Finance think they can charge whatever figures they want to make up!

Looks like you bought Just in time - Simpson’s Skoda website is today saying “WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY SKODA UK THAT ALL CURRENT 2018 PRODUCTION QUOTA IS SOLD OUT” (their caps).

I have even thought about moving to a Karoq although the name is daft! I like the style of it and but the look of the drive on the Autogefühl channel looks good https://youtu.be/sFtisw88uN8 I love the vRS though

I went for a lease deal - £226 up front and £226 a month for 23 months for 8k per annum - so £5,424 all in inc my road tax for 2 yrs, which i thought was bloody good.

I just had the standard car in red as didnt seem worthwhile paying out for extras on a lease that im handing back in 2 yrs anyway as have to cover the entire cost of the options i the lease, hence £250 on tinted windows would be added to the overall rental cost.

The 245 is a nice choice!  The M2 CS is one serious machine though!!

That's not really a car you can replace easily! Early model 911? My 968's in having quite a big package of work done at Williams Crawford in Saltash in the company of rather a lot of 911's!

I bought my Octavia vRS estate from another 968 owner. I rate the 220 TSI vRS really highly, it probably is quicker than a 968 despite the 20bhp power margin.

Hello Ursicles welcome along to the Skoda forum .:)

Was a 996 turbo with the x50 kit - so pushing 450bhp from the factory and sub 4 secs to 60!

Was actually too fast to enjoy on the road as 2nd gear would take you to 73, and 3rd well over 100.  Did get 186 out of it in germany before traffic built up.
