2007 skoda superb heating problem

Featured Replies

I have 2007 superb and the fan is only pushing out cold air. Now ito not air conditioning cold but only a little warm. The fan is working fine . Any ideas? . Thanks.

Do you have access to VCDS, if no personally then check on the map site to see who is local to you. Once you have found someone all it will cost is some tea/coffee as people are happy to help out. VCDS is the only way to find out what is wrong..

Thanks very much for the advice..

Is it low on coolant?

Any gurgling behing the dash?

When warmed up feel the coolant pipes to/from the heater matrix - are they hot?

If the car isn't showing any signs of overheating, its most likely to be a fault with the flap that mixes the hot and cold air.

Except heater failure can be the first indication of any problem with the cooling system (leak, water pump impellar etc..)  - Still worth checking as it's easyish to do

The mixer flap/servo  is difficult to get at!

OK will give that a go, thanks.

Ive changed the flap in mine, had the same problem, is difficult to get to one screw, but doable, and if u leave that one out, when u put the new one in, and just use the two you can easily get to, will make your life easier.
