Mk 2 vrs, My battery was totally flat yesterday morning after purchasing only 3 months ago, so off it came and returned with reciept. Battery coupled dash board lit up and hey presto, working. But it left me with a yellow steering wheel & exclamation mark. I have read as much as I can checked fuses done a short drive, but its still on.

power steering fault? May need a trip to the garage to run diagnostics I would guess?

Measure voltage across battery terminals with engine running, could be your alternator is not charging properly, so system voltage is still low even with a brand new battery.

Thanks, it's at the garage now ready to be inspected tomorrow, I will keep this updated.
