Ctek CT5 Indicator Charging Cable

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

I've run a couple of searches and haven't come up with an answer.

I want to install my Ctek CT5 cable on the FL vRS, I know that the negative needs to go onto the special point on the bulkhead, so that the battery charge is noted if I use the Ctek to top the battery up..

On my FL Mark II I used a spare unused fuse bolt in the Engine Bay FuseBox, can I use one of those similar points on the Mark III OK?

Thanks.

Paul

Don't think so , the newer BCM on these MQB cars is complex & requires battery + & then to the bayonet "-" behind the battery on the bulkhead....

I gave up the idea of a permanently connected cable from C-Tek like I had on my Fabia....now just use the croc clips every time....

Mine charges through the rear cigar plug and im able to shut the tailgate with no damage to the lead and works fine left overnight.

Thanks for the replies - I noticed that the showroom cars all had them fitted at my dealer - perhaps I will just ask them where they connect them.

The Negative is a no-brainer and there is a stud on the special connector on the bulkhead.
