Hi

 

New to this site and I am hoping that someone out there may be able to help

I have a 2007 Skoda fabia 1.2 with approx 80k on the clock 

The other day it just decided to lose first gear when I tried to pull away from a roundabout .

I managed to limp home fortunately about 200 yards ,it will not go in first gear with or without the ignition being on 

Has anyone else got experience of this ,is it an adjuster or is the gearbox U.S

It's the gearbox, if it were the linkage then other gears would be hard to select as well.

Many thanks ,I feared that was probably going to be the case ,guess I need to find someone local to replace it 

Any idea of what I should be paying

Sorry, no idea, I do everything myself except exhausts, I don't do exhausts.

Ok 

No worries I will have a ring around Monday
