Octavia estate boot leaking...

Featured Replies

Hello everyone...

I eventually found the source of the leak which is filling up my wheel well, the screw which holds the trim at the lock. I've attached a pic but now im lost at how to seal it.

Any one got any ideas?

I was planning on putting a bead of silicone on it  but part of me thinks I should be sealing it up from the other side from where it leaks but then the bumper would need to come off.

Even if no one has suggestions, I'm sure the pic will be useful for tracking down a leak for someone else in the future.

Cheers, Simon

I would personally go for the silicone, and see how it goes from there. Mines been leaking too, but think it may be where the rubber,  seal around the boot, is upside down!! The holes in the rubber are on the top!?

I'm now also going to check where you've pointed out.
