Morning folks

 

Long time not on here...that poxy thing called work keeps getting in the way!

 

Anyhoo have a wee problem that I noticed yesterday, the car 2011 diesel Octy VRS slipped out of sixth gear a few times yesterday on the motorway. At first I thought I hadn't engaged the gear correctly so it wasn't sitting right, but it did the same thing a few mins later. Should I be worried of a big bill or could there be a simple solution?

Bumpy bump...anyone any idea about this before I lug my motor and hour and a half away to the garage?

You could try adjusting the gearstick linkage? There should a few videos on youtube showing how.

Once it has been checked for fitment then it’s probably the syncro rings (spring clip that sits on them) inside the gearbox.

I have just had it with no 1st/2nd/rev gears and it was the top linkage on top of the gearbox !
