skoda fabia 3 1.2 tsi 2017 - tad disappointed

Featured Replies

we bought an ex demo with 4k miles on the clock, car perfect except on collection i noticed a chip on the front window right in the spot where it is in my line of sight.

hadn't seen it before so i mentioned it to the sales guy, he's going to look into what can be done when he sees his manager next. Apart from that. very pleased with the car.

Exactly the same as me! I bought 4K on the clock exdemo and spotted a small stone chip on the windscreen the next day.

Nothing can can be done really. I just don’t see it anymore.

plus a year in, I now have 2 :)

i must say that i felt let down, an old school dealership would have knocked a bit off the price or fixed it.

These people seemed to be saying that they had checked the car over and it was fine.

A bit of honesty goes a long way imo, why not say that there are a few minor faults and be up front about it.

Lots can be done with a Skoda Approved Used Car.

Now they changed the website.

'Multipoint Rigorous checks',    Yes that will be chocolate.

Get them to honour that. They never were rigorous enough. http://skoda.co.uk/used-cars

PS

Remember that other thread you were forewarned.

Hopefully a new screen will be fitted at the dealerships expense.

& look carefully after it is done that all trim is good, no damage, cars as perfect as it should be,

the ŠKODA Approved multi-point vehicle inspection check didn't seem to include stone chips to the windscreen

So now they can send someone out, or can pay your expense to go in.   They need to learn to do their job properly.

Did you not give that salesperson  advance notice to have that car closely inspected, they knew you were collecting and when.

Did the car just get to them on a transporter in the last few days?

...............don't think it includes anything to be honest

he knew we were coming, it was a demo with that dealership and we inspected the car on collection and mentioned that we weren't happy with the two stone chips on the window.

the sales guy took photos of the damage and said he would discuss with his manager and come back as to see what might be done.

i'm jumping the gun i know but from the experience to date i'm not really expecting anything.

No previously it was Checks, ie If on Finance, if on a Insurance List for accidents and 'Workshop Multi Safety Checks.

Not even a Service or service campaign work carried out sometimes, miss matched tyres and pressures not set, or TPMS.

But now RIGOROUS CHECKS.   That means car moved straight in from Fleet Return, Lease, Ex Management, used car punted out.

Obviously there are good dealerships and staff, sadly a lottery though.

Ex Demo means nothing, driven by members of staff or courtesy car, loaner etc to get it 3 months old or over 3,000 miles and get Max Profit from the tax breaks Dealers get on Demonstrators.

?

So what is the Service Indicator set at Fixed or Variable, when is it due a service?

great news, after a great deal of stress and anguish, the dealership are replacing the winscreen and giving two free services.

I filled in an on line feedback to their head office and the next day the local francise moved from prevarication to top customer care - no apologies mind.

i have to say that we are 100% pleased with the car, fantastic ride and all round brilliant skoda engineering/style.

Thanks to you all for your support and help.
