Yeah, and LHD probably makes it unlikely too.

But their ‘Camry’ being available in manual makes you wonder just how many they expect to sell.

For the accord that would end up here, it's better to look at the equivalent Acura.

The last european/Japanese accords was sold in the US as an Acura TCL iirc.

If this new one is also bring sold in RHD markets it could come here though. I  Iike the look of it.

What happened to the euro version which was the more desirable one out here?.

I had an accord for a while. Good car to do a lot of miles in. But quite dull and not much more mpg than the 335d despite having less than half the power. Massive though. Nice and wide inside. I bought mine with ,70k on the clock and honda still sold me a 3yr warranty for buttons.

Very well screwed together cars with none of the bling nonsense of the civic.

The Camry is a Toyota.

I'd say the commas were to say the the Accord is Hondas Camry rival.  In the US the Accord was sold as a full size car (so around E class size) similar to the Camry.

.......or ‘hit with the Camry stick’.

Utterly reliable and err.......umm......utterly reliable.

To me the provision of a manual option for U.S. customers must be all about sending a signal that this version is fundamentally different.     I’d lik to think it’s genuinely more than a marketing gimmick, because they don’t lead in any area like they did in the past.....compared to the other Japanese cars.

Can't say I'm a fan of the styling being used by Honda lately on their new models. Bit too edgy for my taste.

......and sedans are just that. Not particularly adaptable or as efficient in the use of space.

There are those that like 'Saloons', Passengers in the car,

stuff in the 'boot'. ner they shall meet.

Saloons can be a more pleasant comfortable car to be in noise wise if compared to a hatch or estate.

Luxury vehicles & Taxi's traditionally were saloons. As to performance cars without roll cages a separate boot might just have them a bit stiffer without much weight penalty.

It is good when Manufacturers give buyers options including 3 box cars.

Always had a soft spot for the accord.

Think it was the appeal of being able to get (pretty close to a) civic TypeR in a package that doeant have the public opinion and "scene" baggage attached..
