Is your iPhone suddenly crashing?

Featured Replies

My iPhone 6Plus started randomly switching itself on and off in the early hours of today.  When I tried to investigate the problem this morning I was faced with a screen which kept going blank every 10 to 30 seconds.  Concidentally when I spoke to my son about the problem he mentioned that he had just read about it on techcrunch.com.  Following the advice in that article below, I manually disabled all notifications - which took a fair bit of time with the screen playing up - but that didn't solve the problem.  Next I downloaded the latest iOS update (11.2) which also took time with the need to continually reboot the screen.  Rather than risk installation with the problem still present, I opted for what I probably shouldn't do by resetting the system clock to 0001 today.  The installation was successful and problem has gone.
