1.2 tdi Should I Hear In Tank sender pump???

Featured Replies

I'm more familiar with the pd tdi and getting there with the CR.

When I switch on the ignition ive noticed I don't hear a priming noise or buzz or squelch like the PD

Should I hear something? If so my pump is either dead or a fuse has gone.

Thanks in anticipation

No idea about the diesels,

with the TSI's, open the drivers door and you hear the fuel pump prime.  If the car has sat, that is without a key in the ignition.

I am assuming then, the car won't start?  Can you hear it if you lift up the back seats and put your head to the pump whilst someone turns the key?

Yeah it starts, I'm just used to hearing the 'prime'.

It runs whilst engine is running, just doesn't do the initial buzz I'm used to hearing.
