Cruise control

Featured Replies

Hello ladies and gents.

newbie here on the skoda front so go easy with me.

Just picked up a 2016 1.4tdi dsg for the mrs in white. lovely car and nice and slow for her.

only thing is missing is CC, it has the speed limiter but just wanted to know if this can be changed to cruise control?

also is anyone else finding it hard to find parts for this car or am I just looking in the wrong places.

I would like projector headlights and want to stick some HIDs in them.

cheers.

Hid are a pain to fit on these intact headlight bulbs in general are a pain to fit

Be aware vosa are clamping down (well in my area anyway )on illegal hid conversions

Cruise can be fitted by as far as I know by the dealers only but someone will confirm if it's possible aftermarket

most of these new cars are a pain in the arse even worse when the seller gives you the wrong lights and then you only find out once you put them in. I put a set in a SEAT leon. what a mission.

hmmm could do with cruise and an arm rest.

Arm rest is fiddly but not.impossible to fit

Took me about an hour

I'll dog out a genuine one

Other members found one in a Skoda breakers for a fraction of.the cost

Expect.to pay £140 from the dealers

its only a £90 option when you are building the car lol.

i rang the only person on ebay breaking one of these but he wantes silly money.

i was told by insurance that the fabia is a high risk motor as well. crazy

I got one from a breakers for £30. Worth every penny. Just keep looking for an SEL spec car being broken. It's fiddly to fit but not impossible.

seems near on impossible to find one in London. contemplating just ordering an aftermarket one with £5 off on ebay and 10% cashback will be cheap enough.

I think I was just lucky. Had to drive down to Stoke to get it, but that's not too far from me.

@vc-10 do you have a pic of what the arm rest looked like? as I am not really sure on this aftermarket one

It's the factory one. Here are some photos from SuperSkoda

cheers mate, defo don't want one of those aftermarket jobs now!!! seen the video on youtube they don't look at all sturdy.

I'd just keep checking on eBay. The place in Stoke were quite happy to post it for about £10, but as I live nearby I went to pick it up. I'm sure another breaker would do the same

@vc-10 dont suppose you fancy finding out if they have another? or a telephone number for them?

cheers.

They're just a breaker's yard. I don't have the details any more, they may or may not have another Fabia. I found them by looking for people breaking Fabia SELs on eBay, as the SEL has the armrest as standard.
