No heating in car

Featured Replies

Hi guys , I have a 2009 Mk2 octy 1.9 tdi pd. It gets up to temp ok and sits at 90c ok , but the heater blows out cold air. Does anyone have any ideas? Tia

Just one side or both?

No hot air out of both sides, fans and blower is fine.

It could be the heater matrix. Or air in the coolant system.

managed to get a bit of warmish air tonight , put card down in front of rad , i know its cold out there at the moment , so any heat helps !

If you have climatronic, you could try the two button trick that test resets all the flaps. It's on here if you search, can't remember which two buttons on the heating controls.

I have had the therostat changed , and it was ok for a day . Now back to cold air again. I have run the car up to temperature , left the cabin fan on 4 and on hot, with the expansion cap off. If i sqeeze the hoses i get a few bubbles in the exp tank. However, the in and out hoses at the bottom of the radiator are stone cold . Any Ideas ? Its driving me made !!
