On the Octavia it's a single double row block in front of the gearstick.

So you have to replace the top row of switches?

Bought the ESC button module from VW dealers & connected to the correct wires...no coding required...but my car is MK7 Golf...

However all MQB cars inc yours use the same base electrical system....

Just wondering if anyone has done this in an Octavia... retrofitted the traction control button by replacing the top row of switches.

Is any coding required to enable this?

As I said no coding in my MK7 Golf which has the same electrical system....

your car already has these items in the infotainment system & built into the ABS...all you are doing is wiring up the Aux pin outs on the ABS unit....
