Paint defect roof

Featured Replies

have some kind of paint defect on the rear left of my roof. The tone is lightly different when looked closely, but whats most noticeable is when the car is wet, this part of the paint does not hold water droplets, almost looks like its dry. Hard to see on the picture though:

Is it brand new, Have you tried using a clay bar and polish, it could have some kind of delivery residue on it.

?

Why would you remove it?, find the reason and have the rest of the car treated the same.

Looks like Self Adhesive Tape residue although I thought they used lo-tac for delivery. Get it back to the dealer.

I took my car upon delivery to detailers to wash it and remove residuals. It is perfectly normal that complete morons work with cars in my country, so I suppose it's more-less the same in the UK. They even cut a piece of rubber over window with a scalpel. Anyway, I have strictly forbid them to wash the car, as they can only mess it up. Issue with a rubber could have been avoided as detailers free of charge offered to unpack the car themselves - but it was not allowed.

So,  what your car needs is one nice new car treatment and wax protection. After one year ceramic coating still holds on my car.

Ooops, sorry bud!

I’ve just checked and surprised to see only a 3y Paint Warranty, sure my Qashqai has 5.

Your mighty qashqai only has a 3 year paint warranty it's the same as Skoda's.

Its not that mighty and just read the same - 3 years! Not worried as it will be back with Nissan at 2y 364d old.

I understand.

Again, it doesn't look to me as a paint problem, but some kind a coating. Try first to wax it properly. Maybe this is a residue of some old coating?
