I've bought a Superb estate because it was one of the few cars that could take our two folding bikes in the boot, with the rear seat in place.  We did not want an SUV style car.   My previous car was a 2008 Toyota Avensis diesel tourer, which gave us 9 year's flawless service. I was surprised how hard it was to match the boot space of the Avensis, mainly because roof lines have dropped at the rear (the current Avensis is a bigger car but has a smaller boot).   I wanted a petrol engine this time as I intend to keep the car until electric cars are fully developed and predict that diesel will become banned from some parts of Europe in that time.

I will be posting some questions mainly because the manual is unintelligible in some places!

Hello John and family welcome to the Skoda forum :hi:they don't give a lot away in the manual do they send you from one page to another still its not clear .:wondering:

Good decision with the Superb. It is quite impressive and sleek although the Kodiaq has more height to support taller luggage. I know what you mean about the manual - you have to have your transliteration filter on to interpret some of the points in it. Congrats and enjoy the car.

Hi John, welcome and good luck with the new car!  The Superb is a good buy and nice to see people deciding not to automatically go down the SUV route.  Personally I prefer a proper saloon type car.
