Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0l TFSI Catalyic Convertor

Featured Replies

Having to replace the downpipe on my petrol 2007 Octavia VRS as it has a slight leak at the flexi. No one seems to do aftermarket one only main dealer which is way too expensive. Anyone know where can source one?

Have you been into a good Local Motor Factors and asked,

or a good Exhaust Fitting Centre that does custom exhausts and the likes not some Fast Flit Dancing Prancing Centre.

What Main Dealers sell at a parts desk arrives in a Van from someplace that supplies exhaust parts.

Dealers wanted over £900 Just for the part. Tried farmers who wanted £1300 they said its a minimum 5 hours labour and then tried this place http://www.qwiklube.co.uk/ they said they could weld in a new flexy section for approx £450 to £500 but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to repair a 10 year old downpipe, surely the cats will be knackered by that age?

Apparently there are 2 catalyic convertors in that section of the exhaust which I'm assuming is why the part is so expensive?

I think you are right I'm sure there is a pre car but I'm also sure it can be removed or not used without any issue at m.o.t time.

Try kwikfit, really!

Got a really good price to have a new cat fitted to my Alhambra £143 did a really nice job too. Got the part within an hour!

I was surprised at the quality of the part, work and service.
