Looking to buy a Yeti

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, new to the forum. I'm looking to buy a Yeti in the new year to replace my Audi A4 Avant.

I'm looking for a diesel 4x4 DSG to tow my caravan, having got stuck in a couple of muddy fields recently the 4x4 is a must.

I'm trying to see the differences between specs but find myself a bit puzzled so any help appreciated. Must have is leather interior and I believe I may be best placed with one of the later 150PS diesel engines.

Would anyone be able to give a basic overview of the differences between elegance, SEL, SEL Drive and L&K specs please?

Budget wise I'm looking to spend up to £18k which should bring something fairly recent in to budget.

Many thanks,

Chris

Thanks Urrell, perfect for the SEL Drive but I haven't been able to find a spec for the standard SEL or L&K - don't suppose you have a link do you? Cheers.

The search continues! Ready to buy but there seem to be few L&K models about in the right colour / engine / gearbox at the moment. I've seen a number of SELs that look good - am I right in thinking that heated front windscreen was an option on the SEL?

It was.

Heated windscreen was standard on SEL Drive models. Worth a search to see if there are any around.

Just above my price range at the moment, waiting on a great deal!

BuyaCar has one to your spec at £18,480 on a finance deal or £18,780 as a cash buy.  I bet there are other SEL Drives to your spec with minimal mileages out there for £18,00 if you search for a while.

Thanks for this. That isn't a site I had looked on.

These two are on the Skoda.co.uk website if you search for used Yeti. Not DSG but the manual is very nice to drive

'Deliveries',  they deliver to Dealers often so VW Group / Skoda selling to themselves quite often.

As they do many months, many quarters and many years.  Then sold as used cars so First Registered owner is really VW / Skoda.

Are they still making the stretched Yeti in China? (There was another factory in Russia making Yeti's, did that cease as well at the same date?)

I tried to find out the date the last European Yeti was built last year, doesn't seem to be recorded anywhere. I think mine was built about end April to early May as I wanted it delivered for the specific date of 1st July; was interested to know how near to the last Yeti built that was.

Hi Bertha108 are you still looking ??

I am selling my 64 plate 4x4 140 bhp diesel shortly ??

The OP (Bertha108) made his one and only contribution at the end of December.  I suspect the two previous posts went unnoticed.
