Just fitted samco tip to my Otc VRS......What a difference it makes!

Car used to pull to about 4k rpm then just go a bit flat..not anymore,pulls all the way to the top.Turbo spools up alot quicker as well.

If anybody has got a standard 1.8T then go out and buy a replacement 'tip'.

You won't regret it!

Was it easy to fit mate? How long did it take?

Aren't they an absolute sod to fit? Do you have to remove the turbo to do it?

Having spent an hour this morning trying to fit an ABD TIP to find it doesn't fit (another story for another day) I have to say there's not much room around the turbo. The hardest part of the job would be to get the samco pipe over the neck of the Turbo and then tighten the clip, should take about an hour.

It can take an hour but sometimes longer.

have fitted 3 now and they never get any easier!!!!!!

Fitting was a bit of a nightmare,these no room to get you hands anywhere near the turbo apart from right underneath where the exhaust is.Couln't get bolt that holds one of the pipes back in as it was getting dark.Hose end onto turbo went on after a bit of a stuggle.Took me about 1.5-2 hrs.These is a guide on OTTAWA-VDUBBING site.

If you have done a bit of tinkering on cars,then you should be able to fit one on youself.If not take it somewhere to be fitted.

Was going to go for 'abd' one but it still reyains top part of TIP.

Revs totally different.I only have changed air filter 'green cotton' and this so far,but fitting forge dv this afternoon.

Very little.You can here a slight increase in air,thats all.Don't know if it would be a big difference if i had CAI fitted,but i only have replaced original air filter.
