The impossible to find metal coolant pipe 038121065AB

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Been a lurker for ages, I'm desperately trying to find one of the metal coolant pipes. I tried Skoda last year and as far as I know the order is still sitting with them.

I see on ebay that people are making pattern parts for transporters is there anyone that's found something that fits or that could make one up or any other options.

Cheers,

Alex

Must be plenty of these cars in scrapyards, many of the pipes will be serviceable, I'd have thought.

Tried local yards where i live theyv either been sold or they crush them straight off.  Even tried ebay either no reply or wil sell me the whole engine. My local skoda dealer ssys their on back order. Id like a new one ss then it shud last till my car dies

I ordered one from Skoda a year ago, phoned last week when my pipe finally started leaking and the factory told them its now obsolete and there is not a replacement.

I managed to get a second hand one off one of the breakers on the Briskoda facebook page and got the new o-ring etc from Trade Part Specialists.

For reference

To get the pipe off the oil filter housing needs to be removed so will need 4 new bolts and a new gasket for that

Theres a strange looking o-ring between the pipe and the block so I got that and all the clips new from TPS to save any issues with leaks.

I can forward over part numbers if that helps anyone.

I wouldnt mind the part number for the bolts and gasket for fillter housing if its possible. Thanx.

Has enyone tried a pd150 pipe. As ther is one in the local scrap yard. Its only £20.  Id gamble that and massage the pipe if needed into shape

Have a look on 7Zap at the part diagrams for the fabia and the car the pd150 pipe is from to get an idea of the difference

I could do with replacing this on my car. Could you please let me know where you sourced a new pipe from? I tried entering the part number 038121065AB

but Ebay came up blank? Thanks.

Allcarparts for les from endon services wasnt cheap tho. I think it was £74 with delivery.  If your stuck i have a good second hand one.  I got offerd it while i was waiting for the new one but the new one arrived the day i was going to fit the pupe.
