2003 Mk1 Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

I've owned this for the last nearly 3 years, currently on 110k MOT till mid next year, got it standard and have had a bit of a play with it.
Car is currently sorn as I have a cheap hack for the winter, price is pretty firm (£2000), as I will just brake the car if it doesn't sell, it's worth way more in bits. It looks a little sorry for itself as it's been parked up since September, I've regularly started and moved it though so I can vouch it's OK.

It's currently stage 2, tuned by Nikki at R-tech, making 245bhp and 276ft/lb. With some bigger injectors it will make a bit more then that pretty easy.

Mechanically it's very sound, always had regular maintenance in my ownership and has never really wanted for anything, it's always been ran on V-power. Had a cambelt a couple of years ago and the sump came off to check and replace the oil pickup pipe, it was fine however. Recent disks and pads all round, new front top mounts.

Turbo is about a year old, genuine KO3S
Custom FMIC setup, 2.5" pipework straight off the turbo, very nice flowing setup and all welded into 4 neat sections so no leaks to worry about also very neat so no pipes hanging out of the front bumper etc.
Miltek 3" downpipe into a sports cat, 2.5" from there on, again flows very nice but means no ****ing about come MOT time, it's passed the last 2 emissions tests fine.
Oversize TIP, various deletes and mapped out properly, catch can fitted.
Currently has standard airbox with big cold air feed and Pipercross filter fitted, no power loss from this at all, but I do have an S2000 filter and shield I ran for a bit if you want more noise.
Forge 007p with yellow spring, refurbished last year.
DeatschWerks in tank fuel pump.
Polybush dogbone mount.
NGK BKR7E plugs fitted, gapped to .7mm.

Gearbox is good, no noises or crunches, had a solid flywheel and sachs clutch fitted last year.

Interior is good, seats are clean and a black carpet has been fitted.
It's got factory parking sensors and cruise control, towbar with twin electrics also the factory Sigma alarm system which integrates with the cars original comfort module as an alarm upgrade rather than just the immobiliser.
Everything works as it should, even common problematic things like central locking.

Wheels were professionally refurbished last year, this meant tyres off, any curbing machined out, checked for straightness and then recoated in anthracite. They have no marks on them at all to my knowledge and look real nice when clean. Michelin PS3's all round, two will need changing soon but are just legal still. Spare is was also done, but it's not got a PS3 on.

Bad points are the body could do with some TLC, it's got a few scratches and marks all round and it's had a knock to the front passenger wing, this effected the bonnet also, this hasn't been recorded so is HPI clear, but should be made clear. It does still scrub up pretty well for a 2003 car though. It could also use some new rear beam bushes.

I'm after £2000. This will include any spares I have for the car and other bits I have gained. Car is available to view in Carterton OXON. Thanks.

For anyone who's interested, I can vouch for this car being a decent one.
