2 random pipes I need help with

Featured Replies

Hi, just giving the Octavia VRS a once over today and spotted two pipes that look as if they have been cut. They come from the bottom of the engine bay and are just to the left of the intake pipe just below the diverter valve. I have  attached some pics. I just need to know if they are of any importance! Thanks.

Judging from the second photo the car has had some modification as it as an aftermarket DV.   If you remove the plastic shroud infrastructure of the inlet manifold. Have a feel underneath the black metal plate and inlet manifold to see if pipework has been removed.  Does the vehicle still have the secondary air pump down near the air con compressor at the front of the engine?

As far as I can see it still has the secondary compressor in place with the pipe work

Aren't they the two pipes you do away with when by passing the N249 valve?  Does your dump valve take its vacuum from a T pipe on the fuel pressure regulator?

I’m not entirely sure where it goes. Is that the 3mm pipe coming off the top of the DV. Sorry, not used to these engines

Can you see any part numbers on pipes?

Ok I’ve had a look and the SAI pump is still attached. The small green pipe coming off the top of the DV goes to the inlet plenum? It attaches to the right hand side of it
