front ARB set up

Featured Replies

hi guys

finally got round to getting the misses mk1 vrs up in the air to change both bottom arms shocks spring links etc
new to working on these i'm more landrover discover bmw e36/e30 etc any way

shocks i got don't have the drop link fittings on them :blush worked out even tho there boxed up as octi ones reading up spax don't do front shocks for the vrs (bought kit last year)
Next i open up the kit with the arms and all the bits in it and company has sent me the short ARB links so just like to know if i can use the short links bolted to the bottom arms then bolted to the arb that way i can bolt the spax shocks on
i haven't fully looked at it as its dark all the bits are wrong at the moment and it ****ed it down(still is) why all my tools were out side etc so i've called it quits for tonight

any info/help/knowledge would be great

I believe the reason for the longer ARB drop links is to give more clearance at lower ride heights, so even if everything fits when up in the air, you might have issues when you come to drive it.

I think the ARBs between models with lowered suspension and long drop links (VRS, R32, S3 etc.) and models with standard suspension (and short drop links) might be a different design as well.

Personally I would try to stick with the long drop link setup.
